New Article about the Mission appears in "Company" magazine.

Dear Friends

For those of you who haven't seen it, I thought you all might be interested in a magazine article recently published in Company, the magazine of the Jesuits in the US.  For those of you who have a hardcopy, or are mailing copies around, I wanted you to know it is now on line at http://www.companymagazine.org/v193/loveofapeople.htm
For those of you who haven't seen it, I wanted you to be aware of it - it has some of Father Luis's best photos (the cover of the magazine, front and backspread, was a beautiful photo of his and unfortunately the on-line version can't do it justice) and a fairly concise summary of the Father and the Mission's work here, and can be sent to people if you are trying to explain who and what we are to someone who is unfamiliar with us.  We are sincerely indebted to Charlotte Leas of the North Las Vegas Rotary Club District  5300, (who has been extremely active down here over the past 2 years - and incidentally, she was originally brought down here by another very active Rotarian, Ted Holder, District 5730 in Levelland, TX) for making the connection with Martin McHugh, editor of Company, telling him about the Mission Tarahumara and sending him some samples of Father's photos. Charlotte did such a good job Mr. McHugh decided to make it the cover story, and here it is - he was also kind enough to send us 100 hard copies, gratis.  We have gotten quite a few e-mails in response to the article, from readers across the country, offering supplies, donations, volunteers, schools looking for work projects, retailers who distribute indigenous handicrafts in the US - a whole variety of responses.  We are extremely grateful to Charlotte and Marty McHugh for educating more people about the Tarahumara, because with this education comes respect, admiration, and support.  AND Mr. McHugh was so inspired by the Mission's work he swears to me www.giveaminute.org is his homepage!
As always, thanks to all of you
Sincerely,
Sandy
